The Adventures of Batman & Robin is a 19 video game based on the popular DC Comics characters Batman and Robin and specifically the critically acclaimed animated cartoon Batman: The Animated Series (which had been renamed The Adventures of Batman and Robin for its second season at the time of the game's production).
There are several releases of the video game for the different consoles in the market at the time, namely the Mega Drive/Genesis, Game Gear, and Mega-CD/Sega CD versions were published by Sega while the Super NES one was published by Konami.
Designed by Damon Slye, the game is a 3D vehicle simulation of the M1 Abrams tank, one of the first on the market.
The port from DOS to Sega Genesis was performed by Realtime Games Software Ltd in the UK using their own 3D games engine that was earlier used in Carrier Command with some tweaks to adapt it to the Genesis and the needs of the tank scenario.
Although the simulation depicts the four crew positions, and is advertised as a simulation, gameplay is not actually very realistic; the missions are arcade game-like with a fixed sequence of actions to perform. The graphics were very good for their time, but reviews are mixed, with many players enjoying the "fun factor" introduced by the lack of realism, and others decrying it for the same reason.
The Addams Family is a platform game released by Ocean in 1992. The game was released for Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, Super NES, Amiga and Atari ST. Other titles based on the film were released for other platforms.
The title was a success, it spawned many sequels, and it transformed Sega into a leading video game company during the 16-bit era in the early to mid-1990s.
While the first games in the series were side-scrolling platform games, later games expanded the series into various other genre and sub-series, such as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and the Sonic Boom series.
The first game in the series, released in 1991, was conceived by Sega's Sonic Team division after Sega requested a mascot character.
The franchise centers on a series of speed-based platform games.
The protagonist of the series is an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog named Sonic, whose peaceful life is often interrupted by the series' main antagonist, Doctor Eggman.
